    Flexi History


    Narrow Aisle Ltd formed in Bilston, UK as niche developer of space saving forklift truck solutions.  Rotareach model developed.


    The Rotareach Lateral Stacker introduced on BBC’s Tomorrow’s World, fills the market gap between bespoke turret trucks and reach trucks fitted with trilateral attachments.


    The Easipick man-up high level order picker developed allowing items to be picked from multi levels in the warehouse.  Range developed to include lift heights from 3M to 13 metres with forks and picking cabs.


    The  Combi Rising Cab Lateral Stacking Truck introduced – high level visibility for fast safe load placement allowing customers to utilise Warehouse Management System and Bar Code Scanning.  Range developed to include lifts up to 14 metres, double deep and dual masts.


    New factory established at site at Great Bridge, Tipton.  Product range integrated with global supplier of warehouse intralogistics systems.


    Narrow Aisle Limited develops the Flexi articulated truck, front wheel drive forklift to unload road vehicles for very narrow aisles (V.N.A.) rack capability in one truck.


    Flexi Generation 1 into series production, 2 metre aisle for 25% space saving over moving mast reach trucks.  More efficient work cycles.


    Flexi Generation 2 developed, real 1.8 metre V.N.A. aisle capability for 30% space saving with ISO pallet over conventional reach trucks. Travel speed increased for more efficient work cycles.


    Development of ground breaking Flexi G3 design combining 1.75 metre stacking aisle, True Radius ® turning, HiVIS twin post overhead guard, rear battery change and lift heights to over 10 metres.


    Flexi assembly established in Taiwan for Asian and US Markets. Product introduced to Asia Pacific and American Markets.


    Flexi introduced into all West European markets, 500th Flexi G3 produced at Great Bridge.

    FLEXI G4 1200 model introduced into the global market with features that conform to both US and European standards. Flexi G4 design wins BMHF Safety Award.  Cassette battery changing system.


    Unique Flexi HiMAX developed for high bay warehousing – heavier loads and lift heights up to 13M, using fixed mast, tilting forks technology and high definition CCTV/LCD vision systems.


    Flexi LITE 1000 introduced with lower point loadings to allow unloading of ISO containers and semi-trailers. Significant contracts received from Turkey and USA.


    Flexi EURO 1000 developed 1.0 metre chassis and 220° rotation means Euro Alliance pallets can be handled to DIN13185 part 2 standard.

    ISO (CHEP) pallets can be handled and transported at full speed in 1.75 metre aisle.


    Flexi VNA AC 1000 developed to allow existing warehouses with 1.6 m aisles to operate with Four Wheel Articulated trucks for the first time. Flexi VNA nominated for FLTA Innovation Award. Flexi HiLOAD AC 1350 development for customers in the building materials, food and engineering industries who need to handle heavier loads to higher lifts and retain vehicle unloading capability.


    Flexi Range revised to include as standard Zapi AC drive technology, Programmable AC Regen Braking with Independent ‘On Demand’ low noise power steering system and ‘whisper’ hydraulic operation .

    Low turbulance hydraulic pump, smooth low noise operation.


    Distribution agreements signed in India, Southern Africa and Korea, International sales grow by 50%. New 2.5 Tonne capacity Flexi chassis introduced allows customers to handle two pallets at once when unloading. Double Deep pallet Systems to 11 metres.  Lazer Lift Height Selector System. Today the Narrow Aisle articulated Flexi range is available through a global network of Authorised Distributors, who are fully supported by the company.  Already established as Europe’s most popular articulated truck, Flexi is also firmly established throughout Asia and the Americas.
